International Symposium on Green and Sustainable Technology 2024 (ISGST2024) co-hosted by University of Sanya and Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR, Malaysia) was successfully held on 14-15 October 2024. ISGST2024 was co-organized by Centre for Environment and Green Technology of UTAR, University of Sanya, Guiling University of Technology, Guangxi University, Pu’er University, Kobe University, Mila University, DRB-HICOM University, Hiroshima University, A’Sharqiyah University, and Marwadi University. More than 100 scholars and experts from China, Malaysia, Japan, India and Oman attended the meeting.

    The theme of ISGST2024 was “Bolster Sustainable Future With Green Technology”, with subthemes including renewable energy technology, environment technology, green materials, and sustainable development.

    Dr. Ren Bingnan, Dr. Yang Bo, Dr. Xie Qiongdan of Zhai Mingguo Academician Workstation attended the symposium and delivered academic reports. They also visited UTAR and had a meeting with School of Engineering and Green Technology. Prof. Huang Chun’an, the dean, introduced the school’s history and development, teaching and research platform, research fields and directions, faculty and facility. Both sides discussed on research collaboration, joint talent training and cohosting international academic meeting.
